This post shows you the best ways to decorate your home this fall.
The moment that September breeze hits me, I’m officially in fall mode. And the first thing on my mind is how I am going to decorate the house for fall this year.
It’s time to swap out those summer vibes with cozy colors, dark textures, and everything pumpkin spice.
Over the years, I have tried many different ideas, and I feel like I’m an expert when it comes to fall. So I want to share 25 of my favorite ways to decorate your home this fall. Let’s dive in.
25 Fall Decor Ideas for The Home
1. Pumpkin Displays

I have an unhealthy obsession with pumpkins. I’m talking real ones, faux ones, painted, carved, etc Autumn is all about pumpkins.
Mix real ones that are different sizes with a couple of faux ones by the fireplace or all around the house.
2. Cozy Throws & Blankets

For those chilly nights ahead, you can never have enough throws and blankets on hand.
Soft, knit, fleece, patterned, textured, etc, they can turn any room into a cozy haven. Drape them on your chairs, couches, and coffee tables.
3. Warm Lighting

Lighting is the key to a warm, inviting atmosphere. And in those colder months, lighting will be the highlight of a cozy space with fall vibes.
I use fairy lights on the fireplace and windows, and combine that with some candles and lanterns, you’re good to go.
Bonus tip – stay away from cooler lightbulbs and go for yellow tones.
4. Fall Wreaths

The best way to welcome autumn is with a beautiful wreath. Nothing screams fall more than a wreath with pinecones, berries, and twigs.
I also love to hang mini wreaths around the house on the doors, walls, mirrors, or cabinets.
5. Rustic Centerpieces

I love a table arrangement of candles, pumpkins/fall veggies, acorns and dried grass.
For a rustic look, combine different textures, shapes, and patterns. Combine tall and short candles with real and faux pumpkins and different kinds of acorns.
6. Plaid Pillows or Rugs

Plaid is an important pattern that you need to have around the home during the fall. I like to use plaid and flannel cushion covers for the couch and bedrooms.
It’s such an easy way to add some country and a little warmth.
